Simon is an experienced and versatile senior health care consultant with an extensive clinical and executive leadership background. 

 

Simon has practised as a surgeon, in Australia, Scotland and Hong Kong. Simon has further worked in public and private settings and diverse hospitals including academic, quaternary level facilities, private hospitals and regional centres. 

 

Simon has been clinical head of a major service at The Alfred (Melbourne) and Clinical Dean / Clinical Associate Professor, coordinating teaching at The Alfred and Cabrini Health - a Catholic not for profit healthcare group. Simon has experience in clinical governance, clinical research and publication, as well as teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

 

Simon has experience in the medico political arena with the Australian Medical Association and also chaired a section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons - earning a distinguished service award. 

Simon was elected chair of medical staff at Cabrini Health and was subsequently appointed Medical Director and then Executive Director of Medical Services for Cabrini Health. Simon transitioned out of clinical practice and acquired an Executive MBA with distinction, winning the prize for Strategy and another for Marketing.
